I am searching for my great grandmother Spciy Jane Dougherty, b. btween the dates of 1808 and 1816, and maybe in Ohio, Ky, or Ind. census do not agree. I do know that she was in Ind. on Jan. first or seventh of 1836 she married James T.Smith on that date and they had 10 children, lived in Lawrence co and Orange Co. Ind. till 1859 when theymoved to Bible Grove , Clay County ILL. where Her husband was Killed she then lived in Richland Co. ILL until her death. Any information at all will be most welcome. Who was her folks? Mom said she had 5 sisters. Henry Dougherty had enough girls. Is there any one researching Herry brother of Capt. John Henry was born in 1785 or 84 ????
