She was my paternal grandmother. Her mother's maiden name may have been Short. I have always been told that my grandmother was 1/2 Cherokee --she certainly looks it in pictures that I have. Does anyone have any information on her family? She moved to southern CA when she was in her late teens/early 20s, I believe.
