Thank you. I will add these to George and Hannah. I am glad you have finally placed Spicey. I have been reading your emails and you have done a lot of work documenting what you have. I hope you Orange Co. has what you need. Orange County, IN has a lot of stuff on the USGenWeb site that has helped me with the Daugherty/Dougherty families. Good luck with your future researches. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Morgan" <morgan14u@itlnet.net> To: <DAUGHERTY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 19, 2003 8:08 AM Subject: Re: [DAUGHERTY] I guess this is her. > Here is what I have came up with. so far. If you are talking about census records, the answer is probably yes. Ancestry.com now owns Rootsweb.com. Most records do have a fee. I have an annual subscription for the census records and I believe they own Genealogy.com too. Ancestry.com has used a few of the census indexes from Genealogy.com and have all the mistakes that Genealogy.com made because they (Ancestry.com) did not do their own work. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Morgan" <morgan14u@itlnet.net> To: <DAUGHERTY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 11, 2003 6:35 PM Subject: [DAUGHERTY] Fed.census records > Has Rootsweb taken over all the records now and are they all pay to get any thing?? Henry Dougherty son of John and Isabell was born in Dansville, Boyle Co. Ky in 1784 d. Nov. 14, 1846 in Orange Co Ind. He was reported to have married Catherine Shay in early 1800's when Catherine died some time in late 1800's they had moved to Ind. and after her death he married Cynthia. in 1810. There is a Catherine burried beside him in the Cemetery I have also the report of at least two girls born in Ky to him Cynthia Ann July 16, 1808 and her twin Isabelle July 16, 1808 also. then I have Joel Charles 1812, Joseph 1816, John Jr. Mar. 29, 1819 { I thought one named a child Jr. when named after the dad} Cynthia Ann married Miles Watson Sr. and Joel Charles died in Wilson Co Kansas. John Jr married Elizabeth Smith and John died in 1886, next was Lavina borrn in 1817 and she married a John Dougherty Lavina died 1880 , Next there is listed Robert boen 1820 then no dates is listed Jemima , Milton Thomas who married Mary Dougherty and Patsey who Married Michael Miller. listed on census of 1850 ia Mary F. born 1830 and Maria born 1835 NOW have I left out another daughter? do the Patsy and the Jemima belong to Henry?? Without those 2 we have the right number of girls. My Spicy had 5 sisters and that eliminated several of the families. Hopeing to hear from some one who can help me solve this Thanking you so much Mary Lou
