From the Stafford County, VA Record Book page 212- Disposition of a John Tillett recorded October 6, 1691: " Some time in ye month of March last I with my Wife was goinge to a Plantacon att ye head of a Creeke and cominge back wee mett wth DV. DARNELL comeinge from my house on horse back and seeinge him wth pistolls and Sword I asked him why hee went soe armed hee falls into most greevous Cursinge & Swearinge agst COLL. FITZHUGH, Capt. GEORGE BRENT & Mr. ROBERT BRENT calling them Rogues and many other most wicked speeches against wth most wicked Cursinge of them and said hee would make the Sun shine through them."
