Does anyone out there have the maiden name of James Darnell's wives. James was born in MD (although some records show VA) in 1765. Dr. Smith's book says his wife's name was Eveline, but on a tombstone found next to James' it says, Mary, wife of James Darnell. We cannot figure out whether he actually had two wives or whether Dr. Smith got the name wrong. I have been trying to figure out this puzzle for 20 years and I hope someone will have the information for me. Thanks, Lois in Kansas City
