Darnell (ref. Vol I, p 7, section II) His parents are not known. He married Hannah Roberts, 2 Oct 1834. He was in the grain business in Philadelphia, PA and died on battlefield in 1864. 1864 is not exactly right for the battle of Vicksburg (which was 1863, I believe) but this might be the one anyway.
