Barbara, In your message, you asked if the Nathan DARNALL I posted info about could be related to your Charles Co., Maryland line. I finally dug back into the DARNALL info I have and checked your web site - and the answer is yes! Only I had to go back one generation from what you posted. I took the liberty of copying the first generation from your web site: Edward Darnall b. 1671 d. 1754 Charles Co., Maryland m. Sarah Robey d. 1738 Charles Co., Maryland Children: 1. John Darnall b. 1705 Charles Co., Maryland d. 1735 Charles Co., Maryland m. Rachel 2. Edward Darnall b. 1707 3. William Darnall b. 1709 4. Isaac Darnall b. 1711 5. Thomas Darnall b. 1714 d. 1790 6. Mary Darnall 7. Sarah Darnall 8. Elizabeth Darnall The line which I am interested in <because they married 3 times into my GRAFTON family> are descended from #5 above - Thomas DARNALL who married Sarah McQUEEN abt 1735 in Charles Co.. Thomas born 1713 in Charles Co., MD, died 28 Jun 1790 in Charles Co., MD (or WVA). They had 10 children: 1. John DARNALL 2. Elizabeth DARNALL 3. Samuel "William" DARNALL 4. Isaac DARNALL * 5. James DARNALL 6. Mary DARNALL 7. Nancy DARNALL 8. Thomas DARNALL 9. Mary DARNALL 10. Nancy DARNALL Nathan DARNALL is a son of #4 above, Isaac DARNALL and Stacia McDONALD or McDANIEL. His second wife was Amelia (Mellisent)(Mitty) GRAFTON - they married July 15, 1826 in Champaign County Ohio. Two of Amelia's siblings married DARNALL's who were cousins to Nathan: James DARNALL married Susannah GRAFTON 1819 Champaign County OH, and James's sister Polly (Mary) DARNALL married John GRAFTON 1825 Champaign County OH. The Darnall information came to me from a researcher named Lanny Hochhalter, who has apparently changed her email address. She said that most all of her information came from the book: The Darnall, Darnell Family with Allied Families, Vol. 1 (there never was a Vol. 2) by H.C. Smith, M.D., 1955, available on microfilm from the LDS family history centers. Looks like we should both own the book, huh? Everyone else on the list appears to descend from Dr. David DARNALL in North Carolina? How does our Edward Darnall of Charles County MD relate to him? Or do they?
