Hey, I just thought of something that would save me a whole lot of time.... If you can surf the web and go to this link: http://www.poncacity.net/fanatic/newdar.htm THEN you could either print it off from your web browser and you can also save it from there and I wouldnt have to send it out email. The way you do this if you dont know how is to click your right mouse button when you get to the page and it will have a save as that comes up and you can save it from the homepage. Hello, I am looking for the family of Sam Darnell, son of James Darnell, brother of John & Henry Darnell. He married Hattie Huffman 9/17/1899 in Greenup County, Kentucky. His last known address was Logan, Ohio. He was my great-great uncle, and my mother has been searching for information regarding him for years. Her father, Henry Howard Darnell, was John Darnell's son, therefore Sam's nephew. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

According to Satfford County, VA Record Book page 212a: " The Deposicon of ROBERT LEATHERLANDE aged Fifty yeares or thereabouts Sworne and Examined saith that DAVID DARNELL and his Wife as att my House about twelve months since and wee had some discourse about ye Tobacco capn. GOODRIDGE had of him ye said DARNELL and that ye said DARNELL and his Wife did then say that hteir Children did throw sande and Ashes in ye two hhds att ye time of packinge ye same and that hee was in Company wth DAVID DARNELL when hee clapd a Cock Pistoll att MR. DARNELL Breast and saith further that ye said DARNELL did say that if Captn. GEORGE BRENT did come to Court wth his Sword on hee would take it from him and further saith not Sworne before us MALALCHY PEALE ROBERT LEATHERLANDE MATH. THOMPSON October 6th 1691

From the Stafford County, VA Record Book page 212- Disposition of a John Tillett recorded October 6, 1691: " Some time in ye month of March last I with my Wife was goinge to a Plantacon att ye head of a Creeke and cominge back wee mett wth DV. DARNELL comeinge from my house on horse back and seeinge him wth pistolls and Sword I asked him why hee went soe armed hee falls into most greevous Cursinge & Swearinge agst COLL. FITZHUGH, Capt. GEORGE BRENT & Mr. ROBERT BRENT calling them Rogues and many other most wicked speeches against wth most wicked Cursinge of them and said hee would make the Sun shine through them."
