I have looked for the father of WWD for several years. In church minutes for the Corinth Baptist Church (where he is buried) I found references to his sister and brother in law, Sarah Darnell and William G FLEMING, as well as a Laura Darnell. In the 1870 census for Fayette Co GA, listed are: (head)Julia Darnell, 62, William 18, and Laura 4, as well as Eleanor, 26. This seems to be my WWD, with his family, but I have been unable to find this gorup in the 1860 census. Any ideas? William says he was b in GA.

He later enlisted in Co A of the 56th Regiment. Thomas P Dean that is listed is the son of Edward Dean, the most likely candidate for being the father of Margaret E Dean, James M Darnell's wife & the mother of Thomas M Darnell & David Edward "Ed" Darnell. Melmoth J was the son of David Y Darnell & Lucinda Hightower.

Well gang., Here I am again............. I found my old bookmarks....That made me so HAPPY...... I added them to the main Awiusdi's Home Away From Home page....... Ok, I fixed it. I know it wasnt doing right......... Thank God for the AOL staff helping me or I might have never got it right..... Anyway there is one slight problem,,,,, I had to put the gedcoms into what is called a zip file. When you click on the link it will ask you if you want to save it or open it. Of course save it. Then you will are on your own.... Your genealogy program should be able to RESTORE the zip files. BUT be sure and make a new directory in your genealogy program directory... I know Brothers keeper does this. I hope yours will also. I am sorry, But I have been away from HTML programmingg to long. It works. I tried all of them Awiusdi
