I have another relative named William Pardon b. 5/5/1853, wife Sarah Howard Brown b. Jan 14, 1861. They are my great grand parents. They lived around the Ruskin cave area. I was told a story about Sarah picking blackberriies close by the cave. She said she could pick 10 gal. a day. They put up what they needed and sold the rest. This was around late 1800's or very early 1900's. The road they lived on was called Pardon Road. Up until 45 or 50 years ago we took several family trips to Ruskin Cave. I remember walking in a creek that was very rocky. I thought it was the most beautiful place in the world. I remember my daddy showing up where his mother was born. Her name was Mary Elizabeth Pardon b. 10/8/1890. They moved to West Tennessee abt. 1905. Does anyone know of this family. I don't know who Williams parents were. It has been passed down that Sarah's parents were the Howards from England. Another story passed down was that Williams mother was a fat Irish lady with a very large bosum. This is the only thing my grandmother remembered about her grandmother Pardon. The spelling of the Pardon name has many variations. I have found them under Pardon, Pardun, Parton, Partin. Anyway this is another one of my deadends. If anyone can help with it , sure would appreciate it. BJ
