Thanks, is it too late to ask? I am researching the names Sutherlands, Totty and Bettis. My grandfather, Berry Sutherland was born in Erin in 1879. HIs parents were John Pickney Sutherland and Sina Totty Sutherland. The mystery begins. We aren't sure if John Pickney Sutherland was born in TN., or who his parents were.
