Thanks Ray! Although I don't know if I'm related to these people...I printed the whole thing out hoping someday I will find out that I am related to them. There was so much information in that bible! My luck I won't be related to them. hahha. Had a question here.....if Birth Certificates were not required before 1904...does that mean these people were allowed to use other forms of identification when filling out applications for social security? What about death certificates? In answer to Collen's question, my own father was born in 1906 in Humphreys Co and never had a birth certificate. He obtained a copy of the census nearest the year of his birth and used that has formal proof of his birth, it was all he had. It wasn't until the late 50's that he even needed that. So I know that brick wall we all eventually hit is only made harder because of not having birth certificates.
