Hello Denise, My mother is Glendora Reed Avis and her sister was Essie Reed Merideth. I am researching their mother, Annie Brumly Reed, who was born in Humphreys County. Annie's parents were James Helton Brumly and Sarah Elizabeth Wills. I would be happy to share information with you if you are interested. I kind of had a hit when you mentioned the Morgan/Merideth pictures because Sarah Elizabeth Wills' brother, John T. Wills married a Margarette Lavina Morgan. I have them in the Humphreys County 1880 census as neighbors and then as a married couple in Obion County 1900. In the Humphreys County 1880 census Lavina is listed as the daughter of James and Anna E. Morgan, and among her brother and sisters is a little sister named Lula. I know it's kind of a reach but I know it might be some kind of connection, since Essie's husband Bert Merideth was also born in Humphreys County. I'll be happy to give you more details if you think there is something to this. Melinda Avis Pennington Denise Merideth Perry wrote: > > I have a very old postcard picture of four women.
