Noticed two references to Edney today. Have always wondered why my gggrandfather was named Wiley Edney Blount. Know the Wiley was probably for William or Willie Blount, the two governors of TN, but the EDNEY has always been a mystery to me. He was born in Carroll Co, TN in 1826. Does anyone know of a Blount-Edney connection?
