    3. Jan: Disregard first E-mail. I got this from Henry Colyer Sykes. His source was Beverly Ann Thomson of Bunker Hill, IL. It only says that they mariied in 1872 and that she was his second wife. As far as her children's names they are consistent with Sikes/Sykes naming patterns. But that is all I can tell you. If you have a way to look up births, see if you can find Sallie Ann Whitford born April 14, 1874 and/or William Henry Whitford Born September 24, 1875. She would then have died in early to mid October of that year. This then corresponds with the marriage date to Ms. Butler. He obviously wasted no time. Didn't wanna raise them younguns by hisself. (HAHA) It also gives time of death at or about 1894. I wonder if the 1880 census would shed some light on the whereabouts. I don't have access, does anyone else? I can only assume this was Stewart County, because she is my Arthurs daughter and they had migrated to Stewart County around 1850ish. Since some of these guys went to Henry County, that might also be a good looking place. Sorry I can't give you something more concrete. If you need anything else, I am here. Lately I've been lurking because I didn't know any of the ancestors.
