    3. "That's my dog Tige, he lives in a shoe. I'm Buster Brown. I live in there too!". I remember listening to "Smiling Ed McConnell" on WSM on Saturday Morning. It was the Buster Brown show. Remember Froggie; "Plunk your magic twanger Froggie!". I think My Dad told me about listening to Smiling Ed when he was sponsored by the Aladdin Lamp Company. Dad was doing his homework by the light of an Aladdin and wrote Smiling Ed a letter that he read on the air. Does anybody remember "Let Pretend" on Sat morning with Big John and Sparky? "If you go down in the woods today, you better go in disguise - - -". The Teddy Bears Picnic was the theme song. It came after Smiling Ed on WSM I think. On weekdays there was "Straight Arrow", "Bobby Benson and the B-B Riders" and "Sky King". Remember when Nashville got a TV station? My Dad bought a set, put up the antenna and we watched the test pattern for weeks so we'd be able to see the first show when it came on. Harry & Sue
