Dorothy, I am not a Nichols descendent. I simply have some tie-ins to the line. 1. A Bobby Nichols married a Deborah Inez Brake, a contemporary. 2. James Nichols born 1893 married Catherine Winters (of my line of Winters) and they had a slew of Nichols children who all descend: William Anderson Nichols, Minurva Nichols, Elbemarl Nichols, Willis Crawford Nichols, James Jackson Nichols, Caleb Hamilton Nichols, Elizabeth Nichols, Cathereen Nichols, Mahala Frances Nichols. 3. Engle Nichols married Belle Milam in late 1800's. This ties in with Brake family. 4. Gilbert Nichols married Lucille Ruth Mcelroy, probably early this century. 5. James Nichols who was married to Mary Cunningham had a daughter Sarah Leanna who married James Fitzhugh born 1869. 6. Julius Caesar Nichols born abt 1710 VA. moved to Washington Co. TN. had daughter Susan who married Col. James Robertson. This ties into my husband's line. 7. Paralee Nichols had a son Alexander Cooper who married Augusta Cordelia Fitzhugh born 1868. So they just come in by marriages...but if you recognize anything please let me know. jan ----- Original Message ----- From: Grisham <dotcole@rnet.net> To: <DanvilleCrossing-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 17, 1999 9:12 PM Subject: Re: NICHOLS > Jan and all, What Nichols are you searching?
