In keeping with the cemetery theme - Does anyone have any information on the Arrington Cemetery in Humphreys Co. It's located near Bakerville between Sycamore Landing and Cuba Landing. This summer we managed to find it but it is on TVA land and heavily overgrown. I think we only found three markers that were legible, but found several broken and weathered markers. Anderson, "Humphrey Co Cemetery Records Vol I" gives these surnames ( Bell, Burcham, Crafton, Edney, Jackson, Tubbs) and says a great number of graves are marked with fieldstones. We couldn't find most of these but we found one marker that wasn't listed. From some of the notices I have read in the Bakerville Review it seems to have been a community burying ground before 1900 and I suspect that a number of my Edneys are buried there. Does anyone else have people buried there? Were there more markers at one time? Where does the name come from? SueB
