I'm searching for the son of Lewis McCorkle and Nancy Cowan of Henry Co., TN: Alexander Manley McCorkle, b. 27 Dec 1829 He married Jemima Ann Sims b. 5 Jun 1834 on 3 Nov 1852 in Henry Co., TN and he died on 9 Apr 1855. A daughter, Margaret Alexander McCorkle, was born on 22 Jul 1855. Jemima Ann Sims McCorkle married J. B. Murrell on 18 July 1858 in Henry Co., TN I can't find any clues on Alexander or Jemima or her next husband. Ring any bells with anyone? I'm just getting started on my research and already hit a snag.
