Cher TipWorld - http://www.tipworld.com The Internet's #1 Source for Computer Tips, News, and Gossip And now for today's tip... IDENTIFYING PEOPLE IN OLD PHOTOGRAPHS Identifying people in old photographs can always be challenging. In order to find out who they are, copy the pictures, distribute them to other family members (especially the older ones), and ask if they can identify them. You can also scan the pictures and publish them on genealogy Web sites, such as the USGenWeb. If there's a photographer listed on the pictures, find out if the photography studio still exists, or see if the pictures have been catalogued and are available in a public library. It may also help to determine the time period in which the photos were taken. Observe the style of dress, the type of picture, or the materials used for making the picture.
