    3. Jeanne, My GG Grandfather Dr. Rufus Wilie Peacock was in the 1850 Henry Co. TN census, and 1860 in Haywood Co. TN. His mother and siblings were in the 1850 Carroll Co., TN census. Other Peacocks were in Benton Co. and elsewhere in TN. Most came from NC. Rufus didn't move west, but to NJ, but others probably did. I do have a record in my database (believe it came fro Peacock Family Assn of the South info) showing Raiford and Amanda Peacock (b.Wayne Co., NC d.Macon Ga.) having a daughter Matilda as one of 13 children b. 1852, who married a Howard Clark, so this could be the ancestor. - Ray Date forwarded: Sun, 22 Oct 2000 12:55:44 -0700 From: "Raymond Millman" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [DC] Peacock Date sent: Sun, 22 Oct 2000 12:56:30 -0700 To: [email protected] Forwarded by: [email protected] Send reply to: [email protected] > hI, list, > My husband had a ggrandfather named Alexander Peacock Clark, who lived > in MO, m. to an Artemisia Williams.
