    3. I went up to Jefferson City MO., this last week to the Missouri State of Archives. They had a list of slaves in there, I didn't look into it but I sure we could submit our information there also, as well as research, (to our own states). But I want to share the web site with you all, and if any one knows other web sites for their state archives please send it across the link here for us all. **Missouri Archives web site= http://mosl.sos.state.mo.us **E-mail= [email protected] Good luck to you all, it does take a while to get into but there is information in there that doesn't cost any thing. Beth ............BOO............... HAPPY HALLOWEEN My Family Surnames; Langley, Casteel, Shields, Nalley/ Nally, Nelson, Gray, Meadows, Rye, Jeffreys, Borden, Green, Brummett From Beth in Missouri

    3. There is census microfilm at the Natl. Archives with Slave Schedules and their owners. I always rent my own census reels from Natl. Archives Rental and view them at home. One time I ordered the wrong number and it was the slave schedule. I'm not sure if it was Montgomery or Stewart but I just checked my book again and they both had a slave schedule for 1860. Whichever one I had, showed Samuel Smith had lots of slaves.
