Hello Folks, Have been watching this list for quite some time, but don't beleive I've ever posted anything as yet..But then the search for my Moore family has been long and hard, so possibly could have and forgotten....I continued to monitor the list because of the friendliness and warmth all of you seem to have for each other....like family. So I hope someone out there can help me with some information...Because I have very little to go on... I'm looking for family of my grandfather... Benjamin S. Moore...b. Benton Co. Tn. 11-4-1841..he faught in the Civil War and I have his war records....Information on his d. cert (he died in Okla. 1933) list his father as George b. Tn. and mother Martha b. NC..thats all I have on them.. Benjamin was found on the Benton Co. census in 1870 along with a Nancy whom I beleive to be his sister, some children and a Martha in her 50's b. NC, whom I am sure is his mother....After that nothing...and I might add, nothing before that, alto I am sure he was in that same area all his life up until that point..
