- Hi Cher, My gggrandfather was James Dixon.He married d a woman by the last name Cole (so I was told). His children where: Billy, born abt. 1858, TN., died of Pneumonia, Nanny/Nancy, born Abt. 1860, TN., married George Spanhanks and James Andrew Jackson Dixon, born Sept. 1862. My ggrandfather James was born between 1838-1842 in TN. and died in AR. in Hot Springs. Now I know nothing on his wife and James A.J. Dixon might of not been born in TN. He might of been born in AR. My maiden name is spelled Dixon, but my dad says (he believes) in TN. it was spelled Dickson. Thank you so much. I would appreciate any help or info. you will give me.
