And just about a mile to the right of "Danville" as the crow flys is "Hurricane Creek" and on that >> Caroline: I failed to answer your question. Danville Crossing is where the old Ferry was located, and very near where it operates from today. When you got on the ferry at Danville, and went to the other side, you were 9 miles from Big Sandy and went through Faxon, Then Benton Cut before Big Sandy. Now they have since the Lake a new Place called Bass Bay, then Faxon, Benton Cut then Big Sandy. They moved Danville out back when the lake was formed, but fishing has gotten so good there it is Being rebuilt by people who want a place on the lake, and they are building very fast in the higher ground, a lot where old Danville was. They have a motel, good restaurant, camps, boat docks all with in the old area of Danville. Nice place to be.for good fishing. Ira
