George Bell was the son of Lemuel Bell b 1760 Halifax County, NC d1824 Stewart County TN, m Zilpha Alsobrooks b 1766 Anson Co. NC d after 1830 Benton or Humphrey County, TN. That portion of Humphrey County on west side of Tennessee River became Benton County 1835/1836 that is where they live. I have this Bell line back 4 more Generations all male Head of Household were named George behind Lemuel, first George came to Isle of Wight VA in 1650, his wife Hester Webster came with him from Scotland Via England.
