Carolyn, The Minerva Byrd Legate that I have (1890-1909), is the daughter of Gus Henry Bird (later changed to Byrd) and Almer Wyatt. I also found a brief history of this family. She is the sister of John Ed (b.1879), Tennie Edwards(b.1881), Alice Grizzard (b.1883), Clay Byrd (b.1885), Morris Byrd (b.1886), Nannie Lewis (b.1888), Tom Byrd (b.1892), Lula Atkins (b.1896), and Lena Atkins (b.1900). Most of the ten children married and lived their lives in the Cub Creek area. (This is near Indian Mound, TN. - north side of the Cumberland River).
