Hey Ira, How are you? I haven't been able to make the connections yet. Because I live in Daytona Beach, this time of year many friends and family who want to go to the NASCAR races come to visit me. This place has been really jumping. They have all gone home now and for last couple of days it has been reeeeeeeeally quiet. I haven't even opened the files on my pc yet but will do that next week. My current ROUGEMONT dilemma: I am of the opinion that Albert and Nancy had more children than just Mertie. According to the 1900 Census Nancy A. (widow) had 7 children of which 4 were living, to-wit: Albert F., Emma A. (my ggrandmother) and Annie R. The birth dates would fit and Mertie would have been married to Elige Carney so she wouldn't be counted in Nancy's household. I believe she is the 4th child. I hope to get more info on this matter this weekend and will let you know. Right now, that "gut feeling" tells me I'm right. Thanks. Rita I will be in Nashville this weekend for a couple of days. I will call you. -----Original Message----- From: GRIDDIP@aol.com <GRIDDIP@aol.com> To: DanvilleCrossing-L@rootsweb.com <DanvilleCrossing-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Wednesday, July 14, 1999 11:46 PM Subject: Re: Surnames >In a message dated 7/14/99 12:07:58 AM Central Daylight Time, >ritacc@n-jcenter.com writes: > ><< Emma was my Great Grandmother and she came to live > with us for a short time when I was a small child.
