Virginia, My greatgrandfather was Robert Lee Weaks of Stewart County and I have the Weaks family line back to William C Weaks, Sr. who along with his wife, Mary R. Weatherford, moved to Stewert County, Tennessee from Henry County, Virginia and Hartford County North Carolina in about 1803. He purchased 388 acres near the mouth of Cub Creek from James Atkins on February 27, 1821. He and Mary were the parents of ten children and are believed to be buried in the Weaks Cemetery on Cub Creek. Although I don't have the connection to your Thomas Weaks, I can provide you with Weaks data.
