Hello People: My cousin is the undisputed champion of all things Smotherman in the USA. She swears by the software Family Gathering which just came out in a new version called Ultimate Family Tree (can download from website). She bought FTM's newest version and kept it two weeks before finding UFT and is now in the process of reentering. When her FG original file was ready to go to book, her harddrive crashed. Because the hardware was irretrievable, she had to get a new computer whose operating system would simply not accept her software. So even with backups sometime you just aren't safe. Kill a few trees and back it up on paper. UFT can be found by simply searching the web for Ultimate Family Tree.
