Dear Anne, While researching my husband's family, we found a James Young Fitzhugh m. to Philadelphia McElroy. We have descendancy charts for both the Fitzhugh family and the McElroy family, but we have run into a mystery that maybe you can solve. On some of the children's death certificates, they have their mother listed as a Cathey NOT a McElroy. Do you know anything about this? It could be that all of us have made a mistake and she was a Cathey. Would you mind looking to see if you have a Philadelphia Cathey anywhere in your work? We would love to get this straightened out.
