    3. WEll yup. Frank WAS Albert Rougemont according to my files anyhow...he married Nancy Sis Bell, and yup, Myrtie was the child...she married my Carney cuz. Now that is all that is in my files cause that was my connection but not my direct line. However I am just betting you are gonna get a good deal more information. B. W. Dortch may can help you on this...he has some Rougemont connections if I am not mistaken... There also is an entry in the 1980 Stewart Co. Heritage Book about a Gilbert Lee Rougemont born in 1907 son of Albert and Kate Lindsay Rougemont....you need that info? Therein comes the Dortch connection too. Now ALSO I have this information on ALBERT Rougemont coming from McClain's history of Stewart Co. He listed his birthplace as Switzerland for one thing. It is 1850 information. So yeah, it stands to reason you recognized a Swiss accent...your heritage there IS Swiss. This is on page 44 of that book. Then in bios of that book on page 121 we get the following on an Albert Franklin Rougemont who died in 1964 at age of 81, one of last blacksmiths in county, was born in Stewart County and and buried in Hillcrest (that is where my dad, grandparents, and uncles are all buried too), and was survived by sons Frank and Clayton, as well as daughter Maymie Martin. Now who might THIS be? His grandson and namesake??? jan ----- Original Message ----- From: Rita <ritacc@n-jcenter.com> To: <DanvilleCrossing-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 14, 1999 1:08 AM Subject: Re: Surnames > Hey Girl, Way too Cool.
