    3. If you are sure he was a Valley Forge soldier, try contacting the Sons of American Revolution Library in Louisville, KY for info. If someone has joined the SAR on this ancestor you can secure acopy of the application and supporting documents. This library is probably one of the best overlooked genealogical libraries. Their records are especially strong for the NE United States and pretty good for the SE United States. The rest of the US is kind of hit and miss. But they do have a large collection of county histories. They also have a complete set of the US census micrfilms from 1790 up, and family history books that I have not seen anywhere else. The library is located in the national headquaters of the SAR at 4th and Kentucky Sts., Louisville, KY. The library staff is limited. Suggest you call to see what the procedure is for securing info via letter. They also have a web page on the internet. Time constraints of my 2 businesses prevent me from volunteering a search for you. I can' t even find time to go over there on my own research. Good Luck, Walker K.
