As I remember, he was big into trotting horses, and we used to hang around his barn to watch them. Don't remember if they had children. And more: Mr Mckenzie lived on Forest St.. At that time, I expect his backyard was out of the city limits. He had a large place with a exercise track for the horses. His property abutted the Mt. Olive Cemetery on the west. As I recall from a visit some years ago, the original house and land have been taken over and developed. They either had no children or else they were grown and had moved out.
