    3. Hiya Dave, My oh my have you opened up some mysteries. Well someone else on here will hafta help you with McKenzies...haven't crossed their paths yet. Only Dotys was what I told you. Hey ya reckon lockin my daughter in her room woulda kept her single???? Now HERNDON is another matter. Herndons neighbors to us in Stewart Co. yea back when my daddy was growing up and got some kin there too. Also got some secrets in the tree worth diggin out. Hang on and I will tell you on it: 1. First off my granny's sister Anna Elizabeth (Lizzie) Fitzhugh married Robert Townsend HERNDON, born 1880. Youngins were many. Robert was son of Thomas Jefferson Herndon and Mollie Knight. 2. Second off my granny's OTHER sister Martha YOUNG Fitzhugh married Fred Herndon. So ya see, the Herndons and the Fitzhughs big ole pals. Now the 64 dollar question is what is that YOUNG doin there, hmmm???? Martha and Lizzie's granddaddy and my ggg grandpapy was James YOUNG Fitzhugh...and I do not have a CLUE where he got that middle name, but I strongly suspect cause we have a Young family connection. If you can find it amidst your Herndons, Youngs and Catheys I will hug your everlovin neck and give you a munster smooch! CATHEY by the way is YET another mystery.... Grandpappy James Young Fitzhugh according to much information was married to Philadelphia McElroy...YET on many of children's death certificates their mama is listed as a...you got it, CATHEY!!!!! WHY??? What's up, doc? 3. Now I also got some other Herndon marry ins....like Jennie Herndon who married C.C. Whitford and the Whitfords marry into my line. 4. Lonnie Herndon who married Lavene Durham who is a Brake descendent, same as me. So ya see.....ya stirred up some mysteries for me comin up with names like Herndon-Young-Cathey all in the same mouth full.... thinkin maybe you might hold the key either now or later.... jan ----- Original Message ----- From: David L.
