    3. Sarah: Glad to help. Hinda Aycock was the daughter of Lawrence Clinton (Clint) Aycock and Pocahantas (Pokie) Guthrie. It is believed that Pokie was a cherokee indian. (surprise right?) She was born November 18, 1892, died November 15, 1989. She married Hafford C. Vaughn December 26, 1910. They had one son that I know of, Owen born April 5, 1917, died December 17, 1992. Hinda was one of the 13 children if Clint. Clint and Pokie had: Hesta Pearl 1883-1977 married Abdel Hinchey 1882-1919 (my ggrandmother) Donna D. 1885-1887 age 2 R.C. Aycock 1887-1927 m Claudia Hinchey 1888-1977 Rubie Ethel Aycock 1889-1969 Married Arvel Eugene (Uncle Genie) Bevil. Had children one of which was Arvel Elroy Hinda 1892-1989 m Hafford Vaughn died of old age Lonnie L. 1894-1919 flu Clinton 1896-1933 granny told me how he died but I forget Claude D. 1897-1897 lived just a month or so Bernard abt 1898 Once again can't remember. This was Granny Ray's favorite Everett abt 1899 Don't know Pokie died in 1900 at the age of 35 at her home in the 5th district of Henry County. He then married Unknown and had: (I also know Unknown, but am going senile) Lawrence Don't know Was still alive when Hesta died Nolan Don't know Was still alive when Hesta died Lois Franklin 1905-1908 Scalded to death by a cooking fire. The 1919's died in the flu pandemic of 1918-1919. As far as I know they were all born in Henry County. All died in Henry County to my knowledge except: Lawrence, Nolan, and Everett I believe were in St. Louis. Aunt Claudia died in East Lansing Michigan Although they were buried at Bevil. Most are buried either in the Bevil Cemetary or the Antioch Cemetary in Henry County. You can find mappings and indices of these cemetaries at TNGenWeb Henry County Home Page Under the new category Henry County Cemetaries. You may find some more relative as well. Would you mind sending me information on Uncle Haf's brother's and sisters, where he was born, etc. Appreciate it!! I was only a child when he died and only vaguely remember him. Hope this is useful. If you want more I got plenty.
