    3. I'm taking a couple leaps of faith here, I know, but want to see what others think of my train of thought. I know that Little Bryant PIERCE b.12 Oct 1867 d.1940 m.27 Sep 1888 Elizabeth Angeline ROGERS was in the line I'm searching. Family story is that his mother was "Puss" JORDAN PIERCE & he had a sister Josephine. I went to Benton co. Census records.... Found that 1870 Census p.279 Dwelling No. 105 (where is this?) there is a Bryant PIERCE, Susan (wife), Dolia 12, Josephine 7, L.B. 3. Leap of faith is that this probably is my Little Bryant. Too far a leap? How common was the name Bryant in Benton Co. during the early 1800s? Seems enough non-standard that probability is high that this is the right family. No???? Going to Sistler's I find BRL PIERCE m.29 Jan 1857 Susan E. JORDAN. Is probability good that she is my "Puss" JORDAN PIERCE? Going back to the census records for the next generation back I find in 1850 a Berry PIERCE b.NC @1804, wife Matilda b.TN, Bryant 19, William 17, Ansel 12, Rosannah 6. Again a leap that this is my Bryant. So.......what does everyone think of my reasonings & conclusions? Any suggestions on how I go about verifying all this? especially from long distance? Thanks, CoraLynn ne TN cmckelvy@usa.net
