    3. Marsha, You apparently have done research at the library. Can you tell me whether there are any books or records available there, that are not accessible from the court house records? I've ordered and carefully checked every film the FHC has to offer on Henry Co; from it's formation in 1821 through 1840, ( when land records indicate that the family Patriarch , and some of his children , had moved on.) His name appears over and over in all of them , except the will and probate records, which would help establish names and relationships. Unfortumately, he died in another state, whose courthouse burned, destroying all the will and probate records ! I have never been able to get a handle on his children : when, nor where, they were born and married; the ones who remained in Henry Co, nor their spouses and families. Are there any church records that might list members, births, marriages , etc in the early years? ( I don't even know what their demonination was! ) I've received a wealth of information, on some of my lines in NC and SC, that were found in "loose papers". Are there any of those, and do you know what they might include ? For example:Court Minutes show that my ancestor was charged with an affray, and that the jury found him "not guilty". I would love to review records of the trial. Do any exist? A couple of years ago I called the library, but was told they were too busy, and suggested I contact their genealogist to research for me. At that time, I didn't feel I had enough information to provide her with ( with the surname BROWN @ $15 an hour) and I didn't want to duplicate the work I had already done, or could do myself. Now that I have exhausted my resources, I understand that she is no longer available. The odds are against me!!!!!! If you have run across any history books for that time period, or any other information, I would really appreciate knowing of them. I live in CA., and can't go to check for myself. Thanks a lot, Marietta ---------- > Dennis: > > I am afraid I don't recognize the surname. However, have you tried the Rhea > Library in Paris. All court, birth, etc. is there.
