    3. Dave, you mentioned 'Perry's' book about the 'Old 23rd District. What time period would the book cover? I had Campbell family in Henry Co. in the 1840s and wondered if they may have been mentioned in the book in any way? 3. Hi Wanda, The book covers the folks who settled in the area and were displaced when the TVA 'bought them out' and flooded the northern tip of Benton County to form Kentucky Lake, circa the early 1940's. Perry's book however, does cover the geneology of the folks from the beginnning of Henry County, to some extent, in the area of the 1820's or there abouts. After the Revolutionary War, Scots, such as the Campbells, left N. Carolina and came to Stewart County (across the river from Henry County), settled and eventually 'jumped' the the River in 1819 to settle Henry and Benton County areas. Jan (The Rocker......seems she can't get out of her Chair) can give you a pretty good history of the 'time'. Talk to her.
