May we humble ourselves in your sight so you can lift us up, that we might become dependent upon your Spirit, Wisdom, Power, and Love. May you give us the insight and spiritual tools to turn our children's hearts and minds toward you, that they may see Jesus Christ as _the_ Way, Truth and Life. On this day of celebrating the arrival of a new year, may we distinguish that which draws us toward our Savior, and that which distorts, detracts, and ends in eternal death. Also, Jesus, may we learn the significance of educational philosophies in regards to the message of the Cross. To the degree we ignore you, Lord, the world?s philosophies become effective tools of misinformation, distortion and death. But, the opposite is true of the mindset given to us by the Holy Spirit. May you continually grant us the wisdom to discern these instruments of spiritual warfare.
