Happy no-labor day to you too, Jan! I agree, we never had it so good! I also think that the American family suffers from too much teechnology and too much time on tehir hands... especially teh young generation. I believe in assigned chores just because you live here and are a part of a family, and that is how a family works. Reminds me of a Dennis the Menace cartoon when Joey was bragging to Dennis about his alowance..said " I am good for a quareter-a-week", and Dennis replied " I am good for nothin':" ;-) The kids up the family tree were good because it was expected of them, as was helping with whatever shores needed doing and learning to pull their own weight in the family.. wish there were more of that!
