    3. Jean, All this info has been filled in by other descendants of Stephen and Lavinia Geers Pierce who have shared with me. I list the couple with seven children named Nancy, Augustus, John, Josiah, James, Elizabeth, and Herod Pierce. I have Augustus Pierce b. 16 Aug. 1798 in Mecklenburg Co., Va. m. Unknown abt 1820. Eight children were named William B., Elizabeth Caroline, Lavinai Catherine, Stephen Pinkney, G.W., Mary Jane, Martha L., and Sarah R. Pierce. Augustus d. 24 Feb. 1872 in Henry Co., Tn. Augustus then m. Middy Thompson on 25 Feb. 1856. Is your Martha Angeline the daughter that I have listed as Martha L.? I have nothing on her except a b. of abt 1840 in Henry Co., Tn. William B. Pierce, son of Augustus, m. Lydia Angeline Huie daughter of Benjamin Huie who was a brother to Eli Thomas Huie. Lydia Angeline was Eli's niece. Augustus Pierce's brother, John, had a son named John Worrell who m. Adeline Huie. Adeline was the daughter of Eli Thomas and Susan Vaughn Huie. Susan Vaughn Huie was the daughter of William and Nancy Pierce Vaughn. Nancy was the sister of Augustus and John. These Huie, Vaughn, and Pierce families are all so closely woven. Again, research shared with me, not researched and documented by me, shows the parents of Stephen Pierce to be Josiah and Elizabeth Britt Pierce. Josiah's parents are said to be Joseph and Ann Basford Pierce. Joseph Pierce's parents are said to be John and Elizabeth Newsome Pierce/Pace. I hope that this helps you.
