    3. Hi! I'm new to DanvilleCrossing-L and want to post my first message! I'm looking for a couple of limbs of my Provo/Cole family tree that includes the surname Parker. My gggrandmother was Drucilla Ann Parker Provo (1844-1903-Henry), daughter of George W. Parker. I can't confirm who her mother was or any of her siblings, and do not have any further info on George. One of my gggrandfathers was Wiley P. Cole (1835-1913), husband of Sarah Neaton Moore and father of Sallie Powell Cole Provo. I'd like more info on Sarah (parents?=Lewis and Sally) and I have absolutely NOTHING on Wiley. I did find a Joseph Cole m. Lizzie Powell, but can't tie them together. Any help would be so appreciated! My other DanvilleCrossing family tree limbs include the names Mobley, Cude, McIntosh, and Cotham, so I'd be glad to help anyone else. Thanks. Rhonda :) ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

I just learned that a dear DEAR friend, Gaylene is at risk to loose her legs or her life... to add to the problem, she is in the middle of moving from the drug infested inner city of Louisville to the more rural peaceful area outside of Jefferson County... She is overwhelmed and terribly ill... I knew she was sick... but, didnt know just how sick...as I had not seen her legs... She is as meek, and humble a servant of God as I have ever known.... Please put her at the top of your prayer list and pass her name along to your prayer partners... She is in deep trouble... We will get her moved... some how... out of that abomination of a dwelling.... but, saving her legs and returning her to health is up to God... Thank you so much for your prayers. Cher

    1. [DC] Ross and Terrell
    2. Hi, I've been monitering this site for some time and find it to very informative. I hope you can help with my "brick walls" . I have three in your area. First - g-g grandfather Eli Ross, born 2/6/1805 in N.C., is listed in 1830 Stewart Co Census, bought land in April 1830 in Trigg Co, Ky, (known as Grants South of Walker's Line) and married Mary Strawbridge, born 12/2/1805 in S.C. They married about 1824-26 and had 10 Children, James Barnett, 7/1/1825; William Henry Ross, born 10/14/1827 in Dover; Charles Alphenses, born 1/21/1829; Rueben C, born 4/3/1831; George Washington, born 5/5/1835; Nathan A., born 8/26/1837; Mary Ellizabeth, born 10/5/1839; Johnathon Eli, born 1/27/1841; Joshua, born 1847 and Thomas Jefferson, born 1/18/1848. Family tradition tells us that Eli is the son of Nathan and Lydia Ross. We don't have any hard proof of that, does any one know of Eli and his heritage? Mary Strawbridge Ross is also a question mark? Who does she belong to? One of Eli's children, Willian Henry Ross, married Emily Jane Terrell. They were married December 28, 1849 in Paris, Tn. She had been living with one of Wm. Henry's aunt and uncles. Does anyone have a clue as to who that could be? Emily Jane Terrell was born in Virginia December 11, 1828 to Frank and Eliza Terrell. Does anyone know of any Terrell's in the Henry Co area that she may have been related to? We know so little of her, a newspaper article about her later in life says she comes from Cherokee and English Aristocracy. She could neither read nor write. Both her and Wm. Henry died in Carroll County, Arkansas after the turn of the century. Thanks, Cherie in HOT So. Ca.
