Still looking for where in Tennessee William P Hampton was born Aug 8 1789. William was married to Malinda ( maiden name unknown) born about 1792 in Virginia and they had seven children, John H born 1818 TN. James P born 1827 TN, William Erwin, Lemira, Elizabeth, Matilda, and Mary Adeline. I am pretty sure that at least some of the children besides John and James were born in TN since William and Malinda did not leave Tennessee until 1828 to go to McLean County ILL. Any leads on where in Tennessee they may have been would be a big help. Thanks for you help Jaime [email protected]

Pat, I've been offline and couldn't get on to check my messages but like Evelyn said, that's all it says. Do you suppose if you joined the Robertson Co. Mailing list that someone on there would have that census to check for you? I'll keep trying to find it myself and if I do, will let you know. Evelyn, The other LUM JONES couldn't be the same as the one in Robertson co would have been born in 1884. He wouldn't have been able to vote. But could this be a father whom he was named after. I am pulling out my hair on this one. Thanks Pat

Pat, I went in and looked and it doesn't tell you much. There is a Lum Jones listed in the 1920 Robertson Co. Census.
