Good Morning, There has been more than a little discussion about the COFFEE-CUNNINGHAM-DANIEL connections in Greene County, GA of recent. I found this link which seems to tie the T&E bunch back to the COFFEES. John WILLCOX, Sr. (1728-1793) of Concord, Chester Co, PA, later Gulf, Chatham County, NC married a Rebecca BUTLER (1733-1808). They had a son, John WILLCOX, Jr. (1777-1852) who married a Mary LEA and they lived in Telfair County, GA. Their son, John WILLCOX, III married Mary Jane DANIEL, d/o John DANIEL RS-SC and Rebecca STEVENS of "Inglewood", Dodge County, GA. John was a son of Aaron DANIEL and Betsy WHITFIELD, they say.... Anyway, after Mary Jane's death, John WILLCOX, III married Louisa Ann CONNER, d/o Wilson CONNER and Mary Ann COOK of Montgomery County, GA. Wilson CONNER's parents were Thomas CONNER (1726-1802) and Anne BEVERLY (1731-1791). Anyway, the brother of John WILLCOX, III, Mark Lea WILLCOX (1799-1852), a general in the GA Militia, married (1st) a Jane Elizabeth PARRAMORE in 1825 and then, (2nd) in 1828, Sarah Ann Elizabeth COFFEE, d/o Gen. John E. COFFEE (1782-1836) who was the brother of Elizabeth who married Charles DANIEL, Susannah who married John RANDLE, Sr. and all the others we have mentioned as relates to the family of Peter Coffee, Jr. and Sarah SMITH. Coffee County, GA is named for this John COFFEE. Not to mention the fact that my grand aunt, Mary Green DANIEL (b. 1848), half sister of my grandmother, Alice E. DANIEL (1854-1924), married a Lewis WILCOX by 1867. I have a feeling that Lewis was out of this WILLCOX/WILCOX family, for whom Wilcox County, GA was probably named. This is starting to get really interesting. I also hoped that Jack also noticed that Rebecca BUTLER listed in this family. I do not have anything on her except she was born in Philadelphia, PA - Father: ? BUTLER b: ABT 1711 and Mother: Jane BARRY b: ABT 1711. John R. Clarke Thomasville, GA
