Daniel, soldier in 1758 till properly discharged, in a regiment raised for the defense of this state. Caroline Co., VA. Cert. date April 1780. Also from FTM CD 503, Virginia Colonial Records. A John Daniel is mentioned in the Washington Manuscripts in the Library of Congress and a Samuel Daniel received French and Indian War Bounty Warrant. This Samuel Daniel served as a soldier in the militia of Caroline County in 1758 and his bounty land warrant is dated April 1, 1780. A Samuel Daniel is on the Gloucester Co., VA tax list in 1799, personal property. Martha
