    3. Joni. I have no disagreement with Rhoda marrying Nathaniel, Robert's brother, as a December bride, at all. I just cannot see her marrying him before she cut that deed in 1791 because of the way GA law was at that time. I also think the probability is pretty good they did not have any children of their own after 1791 because of her age at the time they were married and any children attributable to him were probably his from his first wife, whomever she was. Does this make any sense? My mother was a "fertile Myrtle" and had me when she was 41 (my dad, 52) and my brother when she was 42 but she lost a little girl at 44, so births at that age are very problematic. My wife and I had our last when she was 38 and my grandmother when she was 41, so conception and full term after age 40 are rare. It is possible that a 46-47 year old could conceive but the chances are pretty good, then and now, they would not go full term and be alive at birth. There are just too many problems when the mother is over age 35 and they really accelerate when the mother hits 40. John R.
