    2. John, THOMAS DANIEL (abt 1740-1818) wife was Deliah unk, per Pitt Co, NC, Bk AA, pg 320, 1818, TD dec'd, wife-DELIAH DANIEL receives dower of 600 acres. Bk BB, pg 202, 1818; Harmon Mayo, Luke Ward, DELIAH DANIEL to Rollins, 30 acres. Believe it is part of Land of THOMAS DANIEL, dec'd. I think it was RLD's bro., THOMAS D mrd unk CASON, d/o JOHN CASON. See Bk M, pg 112,20 Sep 1788, JOHN CASON to ROBERT DANIEL, gr/s for L&A 100 acres; wits THOMAS DANIEL, ELEANOR CASON. Bk M, pg 647, 1 Jun 1791, JOHN CASON to ROBERT DANIEL, gr/s for L&A, negro; wit JAMES ALBRITON. I believe that the WILLIAM HART mrd SUSAN DANIEL (d/o RLD, s/o TD, s/o RLD,sr) was from Greene County, NC. They had 3 children: Robert Daniel Hart, Hannah Holliday Hart, and Anne Elizabeth Hart per his will. SUSAN mrd ROBERT MARSHALL, moved to Marengo Co, AL by the 1850 census. SUSAN and ROBERT MARSHALL had 4 children. (This info is from Dora Pearce, a decendant thru Hannah Holliday Hart, above) You & Payne will be the 1st to know what I find in the Land Records in Greenville, NC in Jan '04 or as soon as construction is complete. 3. Will, Let's see if we can pin down some of this. John CASON and Eleanor PINKETT were born in the 1730 time frame and he died in 1816 in Burke County, GA. That puts their first child born in the 1750-1760 time frame. I am looking for a Robert DANIEL born ABT 1770, give or take a year or two. I know his wife, Penelope DANIEL, was age 73 in 1846 so that gives her a DOB of 1773, plus or minus a year or two. I also know they were married ABT 1792 with their first child born 1793. Do you see a Robert who fits that profile? Do you think the Robert DANIEL, GS of John CASON was born in the 1770 time frame. He well could be. I have thought for a long time, at least since I saw the CASON information, that his name was possibly Robert Cason DANIEL or maybe even Robert Cannon DANIEL. Their children's names were Allen, Amelia, William, Nancy, John, Sarah, Lucretia, Robert, Martha and James. I am drawn two ways with this Robert C. DANIEL (ABT 1765-AFT 1830) of Burke County, GA. I really like that CUNNINGHAM information from Cub Creek because some of their folks were really around some of my later bunch - the CARLTONS, CALDWELLS, CARROLS, HOGUES, PARKS, McCOYS, etc. This bunch also meets the financial profile of my bunch, to a tee. However, I have all too many links in my bunch directly back to Pitt for me not to look in that area, too - lots of links to that area of NC. I also have that James L. DANIEL and I have no idea what the L. stood for but it could well be LANIER or even LANE. The key things will be when I see a DANIEL family with early connections to an ERWIN/ERVIN, WISE, TAYLOR and LANE family. When I see a DANIEL family which has those connections, as well as a Robert DANIEL of the correct time frame, then I will know where my bunch came from. One of the names I really hit on today, was the name Randol McDONALD. I have looked at this name, before, because he supposedly died in Burke County, GA but a few years before my Robert DANIEL disappears after the 1830 Burke County, GA census. ' Where I found this boy was in Augusta County, VA area, around all too many of the folks we know from the Cub Creek information. I am going to post these records to the list, later. I also found a Robert DONALD in the 1750 time frame, an attorney, in these same records. I do appreciate your research and keep this information coming. John R.
