Hi Anne: Do you have any idea where George Daniel got "Mayfield" as a middle name? Ruth, The only MAYFIELD I have in my database was around the BYRON/BYROMS of Greene County, GA. John Smith Davenport BYROM (1798-1837) married Nancy FITZPATRICK, d/o Rene FITZPATRICK and Mary "Mollie" HARDWICK of Greene County, GA. Rene was the brother of Capt. Benjamin FITZPATRICK RS-VA (1745-1821) whose FITZPATRICK line ties into my DANIEL-RICHTER bunch in Morgan County, GA in 1903. Rene and Ben were the sons of Joseph FITZPATRICK and Mary Perrin WOODSON of Fluvanna County, VA. My aunt married one of these Capt. Benjamin FITZPATRICK descendants, Henry Harris FITZPATRICK, Sr. (1863-1934) His FITZPATRICK linage -- [Capt. William Benjamin and Adeline CALLAWAY, James and Sarah HARRIS, Capt. Benjamin and Sarah JONES, Joseph and Mary P. WOODSON, William, Sr. the Immigrant and Sarah Jane BRECKENRIDGE]....... John R.
