John, I'm waiting for YOUR book! Wanda

Wanda, I appreciate your interest but if I was going to write a book it sure would not be on one of my families. It would be on a subject that would pay, like sex and the single girl, some dark, hidden family secret or something like that and not something as mundane as either or our genealogical descent. <grin> That, is the one thing missing from most of these books, a story full of romance with a plot. There is an old saying that when history is told properly, there is no need for romance. There is also an old saying that says a child's education begins 200 years before they are born. All of this may play into genealogy in one way or another, but none of these folks who write these sorts of genealogy books are journalists and that, my dear, is what I am - 500-1,000 words, ending with two-bits and a nickel. As for the "story telling" part of these types of books, they are full of them, but we call them lies and wishful thinking, where I come from. <grin> John R.
